Yesterday, our Executive Director Drita Ivanaj, participated in the contract signing ceremony organized by RYCO for twenty awarded projects throughout the region for RYCO Third Open Call for Project Proposals.
RYCO is an independent body founded by the governments of the WB6 countries aiming to promote the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation among the youth in the region through youth exchange programs.
Our winning project, entitled “The Peace Path”, is one of only three proposals chosen among the ones submitted by Albanian NGOs. It aims to increase social participation and exchange of youth programs across borders, by building capacities in environment protection and management. Over an 8-month period it will be implemented and conducted in schools in 3 countries: Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and it will include also tree planning along the way.
It is our Foundation’s mission to promote Albania’s history and traditions and this cannot be done without a better peaceful region. Let the 2020 begin with positive actions to bring people together and build stable bridges between societies!
